   A very pretty villa with wonderful ocean views from every room and terrace  

- and its own private swimming pool- 

Villa Miranda is situated in the former fishing village of Praia da Luz, close to the town of Lagos in the Western Algarve. The villa is in a quiet cul-de-sac which has private parking.  The pretty villa overlooks the village below and has wonderful, sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. The amenities of the village are all within walking distance of the villa.  There is a small supermarket and bar within a 5 minute walk, and a greater choice of bars/restaurants, shops and the beach are all within a 10 minute walk from the villa.  Luz is a quiet village, ideal for families and couples who do not want noisy nightlife!

Praia da Luz  has a safe, sandy Blue Flag beach which is protected by the "Rocha Negra" (black rock cliff) at one side and by an old fortress at the other side.  There is an attractive promenade which leads down towards the beach from the traditional white and gold church in the centre of the village.

Luz is only 6 km from the regional capital of Lagos, a friendly town which has shopping, bars, restaurants, historic fortress and buildings, fish and vegetable market, marina, and the longest sandy beach on the Algarve, Meia Praia.

Villa Miranda is a lovely South-facing, split-level, semi-detached villa that has 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and sleeps 4. 

The entrance hall, cloakroom & w.c., lounge/dining area and kitchen are at front door level.  Patio doors from the lounge and dining areas open onto the large south-facing veranda with fantastic views of the sea and of the village below.

The large veranda has a patio table and chairs which makes it a favourite spot to enjoy a meal and a glass of wine while taking in the sea views! 

A smartly tiled circular stone staircase in the entrance hall leads downstairs to the two bedrooms and two bathrooms.  The Master Bedroom has a double bed and en-suite bathroom.  The Twin bedroom is beside the shower room.  Both bedrooms have doors which open onto the patio area.

The villa has a bright, modern very well-equipped kitchen.  Patio doors lead from the kitchen onto a pretty paved area with bougainvillea-covered pergola. A hatch between the kitchen and dining area opens up views of the sea, which makes food preparation a pleasure rather than a chore!  You can see the sea from every room in the house!  See some more photos

Villa Miranda has its own private swimming pool which is approx. 7m x 3.5m and 1 - 2m deep with steps at the shallow end.  There are 4 sun beds beside the pool as well as a patio table and chairs.

The Algarve is an all-year-round holiday destination with long, hot summers cooled by gentle sea breezes, and mild winters.  It has more than 3000 hours of sunshine a year, and low rainfall. In fact many people prefer to go in spring or winter when the sunshine is still warm and there are fewer people about.  In Springtime huge flocks of migratory birds are on the move using the Cape St. Vincent area as a staging post and the scent of almond blossom and other exotic perfumes fill the air.
